I went up to Santa Clarita this weekend to celebrate the wedding of my flight instructor Ethan! We spent many hours together in the cockpit of a Cessna 172 above this town, and I was very happy to join him on the ground for this big life milestone. I brought my cannon AE-1 and a roll of Kodak gold 200 for the occasion.

Ethan is a Big Star Wars fan and almost every speech had a reference to the Force. But you wouldn’t know it from these pictures. The Venue was lovely. I was at a little clubhouse on a small pond. There was wonderful lighting coming off the water.

I got a few pictures of the guests too. I tried to wait until they were standing near the light.

We did not have too much time before then sun went down. But I got one photo from inside the venue before it got dark and the drinks came out.

The camera does not do too well at night. Notice the difference between the photos above and what happens once I’m limited to incandescent light.
