Wings over Camarillo 2025

This yeah I decided to go to a slightly smaller air show with some of my friends, and Wings over Camarillo was the right choice! So many amazing planes but without the crowds!

It’s also a car show too so there were lots of vintage vehicles to look at with friendly owners near by to tell you about how they converted them to fuel injection.

Lots of cool static planes to check out, including my favorite, an E-2 Hawkeye!

I got to go inside a real Blackhawk too! They wont let you do this at the pacific airshow!

We got to see a water drop from a Sikorsky Firehawk too! This helicopter helped put out the fires that ravaged Los Angeles back in January.

The show started off with a performance by the Pink Albatross, and then an acrobatics display by my FAA Examiner, Judy Phelps. I had the honor of taking my practical pilots exam with her last year. She told me that I needed to feel the plane more, and not just fly by the numbers.

The Boeing Stearman looked increadible. I love the paint scheme on these old trainers.

Here are a couple of the friends I went with hanging out with a T-28. We also got to sit inside a yak 50!

I got to see INSIDE C-17. It was enormous in here! They could fit a whole McDonalds in here I bet!

I was so excited to see one of the only flying P-38’s in the world. 162 Skidoo! Normally she hangs out at Planes of fame in Chino. But today she took flight along with a P-51, an F-4U Corsair, and a B-25.

We were graced by the roaring presence of a Mig-17 as well.

The airplanes took a quick break and let some ground crew drive around.

I love the reenactment people who come to these events. I liked this cool shot of a APC behind the yak-50.

That’s all for Wings over Camarillo, I hope to attend next year!
