This year during my brief Hiatus from Rick and Morty, I went to Hawaii with my mom. My mom grew up in Hawaii in the 70’s, so she loves to visit.

We explored both Honolulu and the Big Island!
Here are some fun photos from Waikiki! I really liked all the tall condos and mall areas, everything was green, lush and concrete.
I brought my film camera, and took these shots on my Canon Ae-1. I believe the surf board belonged to the lifeguard.
Next we went to Haleiwa on the north side and saw the cute little store!
here’s my mom and I hanging out by the banyan trees!
Here are some views from the Pali lookout!
We spent the rest of the day just chilling at the beach! We would have to get up in the morning to go island hoping. We had booked one night at the big island!
Here is Rainbow falls on the big Island!
Its a nice little park where you can see the falls and foliage. My mom is sporting some of my battleship merchandise.
We also checked out a little Japanese garden too!
On the way back we saw a cave! it was pretty spooky inside, so i only went in a couple hundred feet or so. Next time I gotta bring a head lamp!
We drove across the island to get to our beach cabin.
The sunset was incredible!
That night we dawned our snorkel Gear and saw the Manta Rays! Here are some pictures of them from the go pro. I’m probably gonna swap this out for a video soon!
They love to do flips for you while they feed on the plankton!
after a quick flight, we were back on Oahu! to stay on the north side! The airport in Kona is so cool, its outside and sorta looks like a bunch of huts! its the only other airport I’ve been to besides Burbank that lets you walk up to the plane to board.
We toured Waimea gardens which had an amazing cultural display of Hawaiian buildings and plants! we also got to learn some Hawaiian phrases, all of which I forgot.
One last glimpse of the north side of the island before I headed back to LA, it was such a wonderful trip. I’m so glad i got to see the Manta Rays and see some pristine beauty.
