E95, Benson Municipal Airport

Way out side of Tucson Arizona is a small airport my friend works at, He’s a CFI and trains people for acrobatics, tailwheels and Mountain flying. I took a visit out to the grand canyon state to visit him, and perhaps purchase a plane from the flight school.

Parked outside is a DC-3 that was once used for smuggling drugs by a cartel. Here it sits waiting to be restored.

Here are some of the other metal birds outside, and my friend Brett!

The infamous DC-3 waiting to be restored. They got the right engine started up earlier this year, so perhaps it may fly again someday.

Brett sowed me his collections of Cessna 310’s

Here are some planes undergoing maintenance. The Cub is Brett’s tailwheel that he trains people in. It is almost done with its annual inspection here. along with the flight schools Cherokee.

I got a look at the Beechcraft Skipper 77 that I am thinking of purchasing. It still needs the engine re attached, it is currently being inspected from a minor prop strike (student left the towbar on and took off, which is a thing I thought only happened in memes. I will come back in February to test fly it, once it is all put together.

After flying through some mountains, we went to Mi Casa, which is an excellent Mexican restaurant in Benson.

Brett showed me a Dodge Cornell that was being restored by the maintenance guy, and we mused that we are both Honda HR-V owners.

We ten visited the town of Tombstone Arizona, which is a real old west cowboy town! its kind of like cowboy Disneyland!

And we saw a FULL rainbow amidst the thunderstorms!
