Out in south El Monte is a wonderful exhibition of tanks and old military equipment. it’s basically a big pile of rust and machinery, which is my favorite thing to draw. I went with some of my friends out there to do some practice sketching.

They got hundreds of vehicles and weapons on display.

I was pretty excited to see the infamous LAPD battering ram. I had to draw one of those for Rick and Morty once.

It was a lot to look at, far too much to see in one visit. I’d love to go back sometime.

I didn’t get to spend a ton of time there, but here were my two drawings.

Here you can see us chilling in the junk. The orange missile is actually a target drone that acts like an ICBM for training purposes.
